BIO
Laticia graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, where she majored in Industrial Engineering. She is an ASQ-certified quality engineer and quality auditor with approximately 30 years of extensive quality and manufacturing engineering experience in the medical device industry. Currently Laticia serves as the Quality Director for the new Medical Device at Aptar CSP in Auburn, AL where she recently provided oversight over a new ISO 8 cleanroom constuction, was responsible for the master validation planning and execution of all of the utilities, equipment, and process qualifications and as a result, she was able to ensure the Auburn site achieved ISO 13485:2016 certification on the 1st attempt.

In Laticia’s current role as Director of Quality, Medical Device for Aptar CSP Technologies, she is responsible for ensuring compliance to all internal and external requirements, as well as for monitoring the effectiveness of Aptar’s Quality Management System through maintenance, assessment and improvement. Laticia also directs and coordinates the validation, engineering and other technical activities at the site; plans, organizes, and reports all compliance activities; and acts as the management representative for communicating and interfacing with all regulatory agencies.

Prior to joining Aptar CSP Laticia served in numerous roles with recognizable, global leaders, and multinational medical device manufacturers. Some of them include, but are not limited to Eli Lilly, Ciba Vision / Novartis, Rusch /Teleflex Medical, CR Bard, Abbott, and Ethicon / Johnson and Johnson. Laticia’s experience with well-established medical device manufacturers, as well as startup companies, have collectively led to an extensive, well rounded, and focused career as a quality professional in the medical device industry. Her work experience, educational background, excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with her interpersonal skills, have allowed Laticia to successfully collaborate and work well with other medical device professionals, both vertically and horizontally across a number of organizations, as well as with her customers, suppliers, internal personnel, regulatory agencies and certifying bodies, alike.

Currently Laticia serves on the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) Advisory Board and on the Board of Zoning Adjustments with the Auburn City Council. She is also an active member of the Auburn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta where she serves on the regional level. Laticia is also a member of the North Atlanta Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction and as a graduate of Ga Tech, Laticia also serves as part of the GA Tech Mentor Jackets program and has served as a board member and in multiple other capacities for the GT Alumni Association, including GT-WAN, the Georgia Tech Women Alumnae Network; Georgia Tech - North Texas Leadership Network; Columbus (OH) Georgia Tech Alumni, and the former Minority Affairs Committee.
