Farzam Fattahi

I have cultivated a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, demonstrated by graduating among the top of my class at Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), where I ranked 4th out of 122 students. My academic journey is marked by a deep engagement with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), culminating in a series of projects and research that underscore my dedication to these fields. During my time at IUST, I maintained a GPA of 3.88/4 while completing a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Computer Engineering. My thesis work on path-planning robots using image processing reflects my commitment to advancing AI and ML technologies. This interest extended into research on detecting geological fault lines through seismic data analysis, where I applied machine learning algorithms to contribute to seismic risk mitigation efforts. My practical experience includes developing a COVID-19 diagnostic model with 86% accuracy using XGBoost and Sklearn, demonstrating my ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges. Additionally, my role at Fluxudio involved blockchain research, particularly in exploring mitigation techniques for Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) and Sandwich Attacks, further expanding my expertise in this rapidly evolving field. Teaching and mentoring have also been significant aspects of my journey. I have co-instructed Python boot camps and assisted in Machine Learning courses, aiming to make complex concepts accessible to a broader audience.

My professional experience includes being a data analyst intern on NCR's convenience and fuel retail team, as well as a data science intern on Truist's fair banking analytics team.
