Why Join the Community Service Project (CSP)?

A meaningful way to apply your skills, grow as a leader, and work on real-world problems!

The Community Service Project (CSP) is a 10-week hands-on experience where ISyE students team up to solve real challenges from nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and community-focused companies. You will work in a mixed-year team of first through fourth-year students, bringing different strengths and perspectives together to create innovative, actionable solutions.

What You’ll Gain

Real Teams. Real Problems. Real Impact. CSP teams reflect real workplace dynamics—mixed in experience, diverse in thought, and united around a shared goal. You’ll collaborate on projects that matter, learning to manage tasks, communicate clearly, and problem-solve with purpose.

Leadership growth guided by experts with support from GT Student Leadership Coaches provided by Georgia Tech’s Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) program, you will strengthen your leadership style and build key interpersonal skills such as trust, communication, adaptability, and accountability. Whether you are leading or supporting your team, you will learn how to make your leadership more effective and authentic.
