The goal of this Black student-centered organization is to provide a space to discuss and analyze the ongoing experiences of Black students at GT and within the ISyE department. CASE hosts events aimed to gather the African American ISyE student population to foster community, build relationships, and gain insight into the community's specific needs. The mission of the Black IE student organization is to improve fellowship, community building, and provide a safe place to share experiences. It also fosters an environment that leads to mentorship and friendships amongst the students. ISyE students are allowed to build their networks and connections with alumni who attended these events. Students can brainstorm ways to improve Black students' experiences within the department, and this feedback gave CASE ideas for the future. For example, we want to diversify and increase the number of events to offer team building, professional development, and social outreach events.
