About

Mr. Martin has over 35 years of senior finance and operations experience. He has served as the Chief Financial Officer (Sr VP) of a NYSE company, Russell Athletics, with $1.5 billion in Revenue, and as a divisional CFO for two larger NYSE companies – Sara Lee’s apparel business and Sunbeam. While in the Sara Lee Apparel role, Mr. Martin worked and resided in Europe (Paris) for eight years and had responsibilities across Europe and in South Africa. In the Sunbeam position, CFO of the international business, his global responsibilities also included Asian and South American markets. He has been with the Interlochen Group, which does interim Chief Financial Officer and Finance Advisory and Project work, since 2006, and is now doing Advisory and Interim Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer work as part of RDMartin. Ltd.
For the last several years, he has been involved with healthcare/ biomedical, serving as Interim CFO of a pharmaceutical company in North Carolina bought by an Australian pharmaceutical company, and being on the Board of Inhibitor Therapeutics Inc, a public company start-up that provides therapies for cancer patients (2017 to current). He has recently served as an Advisor and COO/President for a healthcare/life sciences start-up company, SpeciCare, that allows cancer patients to take control of their tumor tissue and healthcare information to discover innovative treatment (2017 to 2019)
Mr. Martin has predominantly worked in the following industries: Apparel & Textiles; Consumer Products; Pharmaceutical & Biotech; Sports & Leisure

He has an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech. He was inducted into the Georgia Tech Academy of Distinguished Alumni in 2010, has served on the Georgia Tech Alumni Board of Trustees, including being Audit Committee Chair, and is an emeritus member of the Board of Advisors of the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. He also is an advisor for a Career Mentors organization and does mentoring for Georgia Tech students. He been on the Advisory Council for the University of North Carolina Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER). Mr. Martin served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Chemical Corps and received the Army Commendation Medal. He received Significant Sig recognition in 2021 - national award to Sigma Chi fraternity alumni for career achievements.
