About

Errika is the inaugural Executive Director for the national STEM Funders Network. Previously she was the Senior Program Officer at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta leading the team focused on creating equity in education and workforce development for over 900,000 students. Prior to this she served as the Executive Director of TAG-Ed (Technology Association of Georgia Education Collaborative) focused on K-12 STEM Advocacy throughout the state of Georgia, Vice President of Member Services and External Affairs for IT Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) - the only national organization focused on increasing the representation of black professionals at senior levels in technology, the Vice President of Operations for the Gifted Education Foundation, Southwire, BMC Software and IBM.

Currently she serves on Florida International University Honors College Dean’s Advisory Board, as the Georgia co-lead for the National Million Women Mentors initiative, the Vice Chair for Project Scientist’s national Board of Directors, the University of Texas’ Parent Advisory Council, the Board Chair for Lab Atlanta, and the Board Chair for Ferst Readers. She also serves on the strategic planning committee for the National Center for Family Math, Georgia Department of Education’s Computer Science Advisory Council, Junior Achievement of Georgia’s Leadership Council, Georgia’s CTAE Industry Advisory Council, DeKalb County’s STEM Advisory Board, Sankofa Montessori’s Proposed Founding Board of Directors, and Inspiredu’s Education Advisory Council. She is a member of IT Senior Management Forum, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and the Atlanta Diversity Managers Affinity Group (ADMAG).

Previously she’s participated in the National Science Foundation’s Convergence Accelerator Program specifically for Reimagining Innovation in STEM Education, and has served on the American Diabetes Association southeast regional board, Georgia Tech’s Industrial Engineering Advisory Board, Southeast PremierCIO Advisory Council, Literacy for All Steering Committee the STEM Learning Ecosystem National Advisory Council, and on the boards of Literacy Action, Georgia Tech’s Alumni Association, Per Scholas Atlanta, and the National Society of Black Engineers. She’s also served as the national President for the Georgia Tech Black Alumni Organization, and the Southeast Regional Board Chair for Out Teach. And she has proudly served as a White House Fellow and as a track coach for middle school students.

She has been honored as an Outstanding Georgia Citizen by the Secretary of the State, a Woman of the Year by Atlanta’s Women in Technology, as an Ecosystem Builder by the Tech for All Alliance, as one of the Top 40 Inspirers in America by InSpire Magazine, Who’s Who in Black Atlanta and with several distinctions from her alma mater, the Georgia Institute of Technology.
