About

My name is Sam Millson, I am the founder of The Millson Group, a consulting and investing firm focused on small to medium sized businesses in high-growth. Our goal is to work directly with our clients to find opportunities for efficiencies in both daily operations and long term strategy. I started this company during early days of the pandemic as a reaction to local businesses struggling to keep their margins and stay open. Using best practices in industrial engineering, data analytics, supply chain, manufacturing, and warehousing, our group helps businesses standardize and automate their operations.

I graduated from Georgia Tech in 2018. I was on the Cross Country and Track and Field teams, and in my last semester, my team won the ISyE Spring Senior Design project for our project with Textron's manufacturing. I absolutely loved my time at Georgia Tech, and while it is 4 very difficult years, it is well worth it in the end, teaching us how to operate in all areas of Industrial Engineering and related practices. After graduating, I worked for a medical device company in Memphis, TN called Smith and Nephew. Over the course of about 2 years at Smith and Nephew, I held several different roles, most recently as the Manager for Global Operations Data Analytics. I left Smith and Nephew in September 2020 to start The Millson Group, where I work today.

In my free time, I love to travel, run, explore local restaurants, and spend time with friends. On any given weekend, you can typically find me exploring a new restaurant, brewery, or taproom around the Memphis area.
