SOAR is a program that allows the ISyE staff to express their desire for an increase in support of career/professional development. The program goal is to help support staff, provide professional development opportunities, and serve as a hub for information, resources, and expertise regarding diversity issues. Ensuring that staff obtain the skills, experiences, and support will empower them to reach their potential through careers and higher education. SOAR achieves this mission through group discussion, career advising, interview preparation, job shadowing, and sharing tools and resources available. Our holistic approach focuses on the staff’s professional and personal development to place them on a viable path. The program hosts professional development events to improve the sense of community between the ISyE staff and faculty for a more inclusive environment.
